We have everything you need to make your own mead! We even offer a starter mead making kit which includes almost everything you will need to get you started with a 3-gallon batch of mead! If you, or someone you know, have been considering doing some home fermentation projects, this is a great and easy way to start making mead. (We only say “almost” everything you need, because besides our kit, all you will need to supply is the water and the honey!)
Speaking of honey, we also sell that here in the feed store, both in bulk, and jarred up from local suppliers. A good suggestion is between 3-3.5 pounds of honey per gallon of mead. (This would be aiming at something in the 14% ABV range.) Our master brewer, Stephen, is very happy to talk about home brewing, so be sure to ask if you have any questions!
