COAST FORK CHRONICLES: STARTING SUNDAY, WE’LL BE SEEING YOU SOON
UPDATED 06/02/21 — Feed Store to Close Sunday and Monday, Brewstation Closed a Week for Repaving, Renovations
As hard as we’ve worked to stay open in recent months, it’s a strange and not altogether welcome feeling to be planning an upcoming closure. But boy, we can’t wait for you to see the place when we reopen!
We’ve got a great week planned here at Coast Fork Feed Store and the Brewstation. Local favorites the Huckleberry’s take the stage Friday while we also celebrate Art Walk. The feed store has all manner of spring and summertime preparations, including a fabulous supply of Coast Fork Nursery Tomatoes, which are on sale 3 plants for $5.00 or $1.95 each.
Beginning Sunday, though, we’ll close both businesses for some much-needed renovations, most notably including the repaving of our beer garden/outdoor seating area. The Feed Store will (barring the unforeseen) be closed Sunday and Monday and (ideally) reopen Tuesday. The Brewstation should reopen Sunday, June 6 (but sooner, if possible). We will post our progress daily and include pictures of our improvements here and on our social media.
And while it’s certainly not easy to close for so long, we just can’t wait for you to see the place when we’re here together again.
“We’ll be sad to be closed, but exceedingly happy to get the work done,” says owner Dale Smith. “And we’re going to celebrate big when we reopen.”
Owner Emily Rinck says the renovations will also include a remodel of all our entryways and new tile in the bathroom entryway. The beer garden — its surface patchy and likely decades removed from its last repaving — will get fresh concrete, which will eliminate the pooling of water there when it rains. A ‘tree of life’ design will be visible in the new pavement.
We’ll also be installing a new walk-in cooler, which will double our beer storage — a must with all the fabulous beers our brewer, Stephen Mathys, is churning out these days.
In these challenging and uncertain times, it’s been beyond gratifying to see so many of the beautiful faces that help make the Brewstation, Coast Fork Brewing and Coast Fork Feed Store a beloved community destination in Cottage Grove. And we’re so grateful for the opportunity to continue to grow, improve and modify what we do to welcome, serve and entertain you.
Thank you for your patience as we make these improvements!
