As gardeners ourselves, we get it – changing our tried-and-true techniques, and the products that we rely upon for our success in the garden, can be more than a bit difficult.
And yet, change doesn’t have to mean a compromise, or accepting a lesser outcome.
Make no mistake, though the calendar doesn’t yet agree, spring – the season of preparation, planning, and tending the perfect home for this season’s bounty – has indeed sprung! Here at Coast Fork Feed Store, we’ve got the products and expertise to ensure your season’s success. Which, we’ll admit, looks a little different this year.
We’ve carried Down to Earth Products for a good while now, and we’re proud to support this fantastic local company. This year, they’ve decided to stop making their seedling mix. Which can be an unsettling prospect for some, we understand.
And yet, we’re confident that what Down to Earth is now carrying, Sungro’s Black Gold OMRI Approved Seedling Mix, will ‘produce’ the results you demand. Why?
“I’m already using it in my greenhouse, and my tomato starts look fantastic,” says our Owner, Dale Smith. “I’ve been encouraging people to check it out.”
As has our store manager, Jason Smith, who’s keeping a bag on the countertop at the store because he’s fielded so many questions already (the bag is a bit smaller than before, but the pricing is about the same.) The mix comes in 3 sizes, which covers small to large seeding needs.
But don’t worry, Jason loves to answer questions about our products. And if you’re in the mood to research a bit further, we’re also carrying a new selection of books about growing fruits and veggies — and even mushrooms! We’re preparing to offer mushroom plugs this spring as warmer temperatures allow, and we anticipate there’ll be many of you ready to explore growing your own mushrooms.
Right about now, it’s all about preparing your soil to ensure a future bounty. And we’ve got everything – including seedling trays, domes and pots, to get those lil seedlings started. So stop in today and get your season started right!
