Small Canning Racks for the Efficient Kitchen

August 23, 2021 by Coast Fork Blogger

Do you like to can efficiently? Do you tend to do your canning in small batches? Do you have a small kitchen? If you answered YES to any of those questions, then these small size canning racks might be ideal for you!

Our small canning racks are made to fit in almost any size stock pot, so that you can do just a few cans of your favorite jelly, pickles or fruit at a time. If you’re a person who loves to can, you know that a hot water bath canning project requires a canner (which is essentially just an enormous pot) and that those suckers require a lot of water, take a long time to heat up, and use a lot of energy to make it happen. Then, you’ve got the misery of this huge pot of steaming water heating up your kitchen for a few hours. It’s just in no way efficient, unless you’re doing a big batch of canning. That’s the problem that our small canning racks solve. Not to mention, if you don’t have a lot of storage space, a large canner and all the required accessories to go along with it, can be hard to justify — so that’s also a benefit to these smaller canning racks — just fold them up and tuck them away, and when you’re ready to use them, just use a pot that you use for other things on a regular basis.

Of course, if you are doing big batches, we do also carry the large wire canning racks. And if you’re really into your canning, you’ll want to check out our pressure canners.

We have everything you need to preserve your harvest at whatever volume it works for you, so come down and visit our feed store today, and ask us any questions you may have about canning!
