It’s not a bad time to start your cool weather crops for a fall harvest or for overwintering. Just remember, seedlings may get scorched (or seeds may not even germinate to begin with) if you start them in the blazing heat, so plan to start them in a climate controlled environment, such as indoors or somewhere that doesn’t get too hot.
Looking for seeds that you can start now? We have a good selection of greens, lettuce, cabbage, and other cool weather plants. Come on down to the feed store and check them out! (And soon we’ll also have garlic bulbs for fall planting as well… keep an eye out for that announcement!)
