Importance of Local Feed and Seed

July 12, 2021 by Coast Fork Blogger

For a lot of our seed and feed products, we have chosen OreGro, a local Willamette Valley-based producer of non-GMO, high quality feed and seed products.

We appreciate that their wild bird food is mixed with thought and care to provide the nutrients that our local birds here in the Willamette Valley need to match natural diets. Their grass seed and other forage seeds are non-GMO and will not introduce harmful genetically modified hereditary traits into our local environment.

For our existing users of OreGro sunflower seed, we are currently offering whole sunflower seeds, black oil sunflower seeds, and coarsely broken sunflower chips. The finely broken sunflower chips are currently out of stock, and will continue to be until the next harvest. We are not replacing the finely broken sunflower chips with another brand, because we don’t want to offer a product from a different supplier that we are not familiar with and may not meet our quality standards.

When you are refilling your backyard bird feeders, or reseeding your lawn or pasture, consider switching to or restocking with OreGro products, which you can find here at our Feed Store!
